Fifth Anniversary Women Of Distinction & Caring Luncheon
The Plaza Health Network and Hebrew Homes Foundation hosted The 2012 Women of Distinction & Caring Luncheon.
Gathering together to celebrate and honor 4 dynamic mother-daughter duos dedicated to the enrichment of our community, 325 ladies and gentlemen enjoyed the Fifth Anniversary Women of Distinction & Caring Luncheon. A lavish silent auction and cocktail reception preceded the luncheon festivities featuring Emcee, Ninoska Perez,
Radio Mambi talk show host, who welcomed the crowd along with Dr. William Zubkoff, President & CEO of Hebrew Homes Plaza Health Network. Each mother-daughter honorees were introduced to guests with a video telling their story. A live auction featuring travel adventures and jewelry as well as a Barry Gibb autographed guitar.
The Hebrew Homes Plaza Health Network is the largest not-for-profit network of rehabilitation and skilled nursing centers in Miami-Dade County. The network has 8 centers located in neighborhoods throughout Miami-Dade and a 9th center, University Plaza, under construction and scheduled to open in January. Rated 5 Star by the Center on Medicare and Medicaid Services, each of the Plaza Health Network Centers has a State-of-the-art Rehab Pavilion with the most advanced technology available to patients. Funds raised support cultural arts activities that enhance the quality of life for patients and residents of the Hebrew Homes Plaza Health Network.

Women of Distinction and Caring Luncheon:
A Signature Event of the Foundation, this luncheon honors and celebrates women in our community who have made a difference in the lives of others locally and globally. Proceeds from the Luncheon support services and programs for all patients of Plaza Health Network.

Our Mission:
The mission of the Hebrew Homes Foundation is to provide significant financial support to secure the future of the Hebrew Homes Plaza Health Network (Plaza Health Network) by promoting awareness of our cause within our community.
The Hebrew Homes Foundation helps the Plaza Health Network provide excellent care and service to patients of the 8 rehabilitation and skilled nursing centers in our network. The Foundation leads fundraising activities and resources on behalf of the network, our patients and all of the programs within each of the centers.
Investing in the Hebrew Homes Foundation is an investment for tomorrow. As our population continues to age, our network must lead the way with innovative service and care that meets the growing needs of today’s and tomorrow’s seniors
Annually the network:
+ Provides over $1.2 million in services that are not reimbursed
+ Serves over 900,000 meals; each meal is individually tailored to each patient’s dietary requirements
+ Administers 5,256,000 medications
+ Provides over 75,000 physical, and occupational therapy treatments
+ Coordinates over 20,000 patient activities including quarterly family events, Intergenerational programs, holiday celebrations, patient birthday parties, special entertainment events and field trips.
